APR ignition coils were developed as a direct plug-and-play replacement of the factory-installed ignition coils and offer a higher energy output, which ensures a stronger and more uniform ignition spark.

It is generally assumed that installing ignition rinses from Audi RS models, such as the 2.5 TFSI, leads to a more constant ignition spark, i.e. less misfires, since these ignition coils are stronger. However, tests have shown that these are no more powerful than the standard ignition coils from the 1.8T and 2.0T engines. APR ignition coils increase the energy output by 10% and thus guarantee the generation of spark even in strongly performance-enhanced vehicles, are a real upgrade for your engine and are supplied in the coveted red housing that most of the R8 ignition coils are familiar with.
