The new design means it is now possible to accommodate a 40% larger tailor-made filter. No effort was spared in development to get the most out of each component.
After several simulations and testing of prototype parts, a secondary open-air inlet was created. Several shapes, positions and sizes of the openings were tested to ensure that the additional intake port does not cause any undesirable side effects. The results showed that the patterned openings in the final version of the box provided a perfect balance of additional volume to support the factory intake.
