• The Active Sound System has been factory-fitted as standard from the Audi factory on all Bi Turbo TDI engines with 313hp. The functioning of this system is based on one or two external noise generators (sound actuator). In the sound actuators very high-quality loudspeakers are installed, which simulate a voluminous engine sound.
• With a diesel vehicle you can not produce a good sound with any sports exhaust system! Since the eletronic noise generation is simply a must for good sound.
• The sound actuators are installed in the spare wheel well and the sound is diverted to the outside. Nothing is changed at the exhaust system. The sound is only generated by the speed.
• Over 900 different sound variations are possible.
• Fully operable via original buttons from the vehicle. No extra cables and no extra buttons!
The functions:
All functions can be adjusted completely via the cruise control lever (if available).
The function of the cruise control is not limited by this.
• Volume
o the volume is adjustable in 5 levels even while driving!
• speed / idling
o The idling speed can be adjusted in 15 steps. From the low-speed blubbering of a V8 to the high-speed turning of a racing machine.
• Sound adjustment
o also here 12 levels individually adjustable. So your vehicle sounds like a V8 Dodge or a Formula One race car.
• Engine start accompaniment
o In this menu you can choose from three different engine start accompaniments. Once you have picked one, your engine will start with one of the selected sounds and howl at the start.
