Regular vehicle inspection for road safety
To ensure safety on Germany's roads, lawmakers require regular vehicle inspections. Every vehicle owner must therefore present their car for a general inspection (HU) at set intervals. If the inspection is due on your vehicle, simply drive to our DEKRA vehicle inspection center with an appointment (coordinate with us by phone beforehand). At HU we examine your vehicle in accordance with the legal regulations with regard to the design, condition, function and effect of the components and systems. The emissions test (AU) is also an integral part of the HU.

If you plan technical changes, such as lowering the chassis, using special wheels with wide tires or tinting windows, then these must be subjected to so-called modification acceptance tests. Or if an additional heater is installed or a special seat belt system is used, such parts must have type approval.
Maybe you are the proud owner of a real rarity - a specially manufactured or converted one-of-a-kind item and would like to use it on public roads? On your behalf, our experts will prepare the required report for the registration office so that it can issue the official operating license for the vehicle.
And last but not least, appropriate reports are required for the import and export of motor vehicles and trailers, which confirm compliance with the requirements of national and international regulations.
